Heemer, Klein & Company PLLC Update

Heemer, Klein & Company has been required to make several operational changes as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.  Until further notice, our firm will remain open only for client drop-off and pickup activity.  However, to reduce office traffic and maintain appropriate social distancing requirements, we will not be accepting in-person client appointments at this time.

Our staff members will be working either remotely or in-office, as needed.  Therefore, if you should need assistance from our team, we will be available via phone or email.  

Individual Tax Preparation Services:

Clients may mail or email documents to our offices. You may also use our secure drop box located next to the main entrance at the Warren office.  We can also accept in-office drop offs at any of our four locations. Additionally, we have secure client portals for clients to send documents to our staff.

We are able to meet with clients via Zoom if you have a bit more complicated situation and prefer to speak face-to-face.. Please call the office at (586) 751-6060 to arrange a Zoom conference.

We believe providing tax return copies electronically to clients will reduce office traffic and help safety measures. Staff can also send tax returns via mail or UPS.  All e-file authorization forms will need to be signed.  We are able to offer electronic signature options or clients may drop off the e-file authorization forms at our office, in our dropbox, via fax or mail.

Business Accounting and Tax Services:

Business clients are encouraged to provide payroll, sales tax, and bookkeeping information by email or client portal, if possible.  We can also receive information dropped at any of our locations or through mail, UPS or FedEx.  Once again, in an effort to reduce client office traffic, electronic transmission is preferred.

Business tax return services will be similar to individual tax preparation services.  Our preference is to handle most of these returns electronically.
